Who is The Milkman? What is the emblematic function of the delivery of
the milk? I note that the recurrence of the Milkman leitmotif builds up a
repetitive recursive resonance reminscent of the comings and goings of
the days and seasons . . . Is the 'yawning' a cri de coeur at an Unfeeling
Godless Universe? And are the wishes the wishes of humankind struggling
vainly in an Absurd World? What is the Deeper Connotative significance of
the Milkman's Wife? And furthermore where do her tits fit into the Scheme
of things?
